Position Overview

The Title Clerk plays an essential role in managing vehicle documentation related to titles, registrations, taxes, and legal ownership transfers for vehicle sales. This role includes administrative support, inventory tracking, record keeping, and coordinating with financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle vehicle documentation including taxation, titles, registrations, and license plates.
  • Assist with vehicle inventory control and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage contractual documentation with lenders and financial institutions.
  • Prepare and reconcile reports and schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate effectively with dealership personnel to facilitate documentation processes.
  • Process title work promptly with CVR or DMV.
  • Follow all federal, local, and company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Process dealer trade worksheets required for transferring vehicles between dealers or related parties.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment while managing multiple projects. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential to success.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • CVR certification required.
  • Experience in dealership operations and Reynolds and Reynolds DMS preferred.
  • Strong telephone and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Friendly attitude with a professional and dependable work ethic.
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office and internet applications.
