Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary liaison between customers and the service technicians. You will communicate effectively to schedule service appointments, provide accurate information about repairs and maintenance, and manage customer expectations throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule service appointments through in-person and phone communication to ensure prompt and accurate vehicle diagnosis.
  • Follow up on repair status, notify customers of delays, and obtain authorization for any revised repair estimates.
  • Recommend repairs and maintenance based on vehicle inspections and customer needs.
  • Ensure all completed repairs pass quality control and road tests before vehicle delivery.
  • Stay informed on vehicle operations, warranties, service campaigns, and technical service bulletins.
  • Meet or exceed service level targets while maintaining compliance with all documentation requirements and safety standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous education programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the service department.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience at a dealership or large service facility preferred.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Proficient with basic computer and internet applications.
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and comprehend service documentation.
  • Capable of physical tasks including bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and lifting heavy objects as necessary.
