Position Summary

The Automotive Service Advisor functions as the primary communication link between customers and technicians. You will manage service appointments, address customer concerns, monitor repair progress, and ensure customers receive a positive service experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule vehicle service appointments in person or by phone, accurately diagnosing customer concerns
  • Provide timely updates on repair status and notify customers of any changes to timelines
  • Obtain customer authorization for any adjustments to repair estimates
  • Recommend repairs and coordinate service delivery while managing customer expectations
  • Verify quality control and conduct road tests on completed repairs
  • Maintain current knowledge of vehicle operations, warranties, recalls, and service bulletins
  • Meet or exceed established service level targets
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with company and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of experience at a dealer-level or large automotive service facility preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Professional appearance and reliable work ethic
  • Strong safety awareness and excellent customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills and internet navigation proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to read and understand instructions clearly
  • Physical capability to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy objects as needed
