Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary liaison between customers and service technicians. Your role involves managing communications regarding vehicle services and repairs, listening carefully to customer concerns, arranging appropriate services, and providing clear information on timelines and costs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and strong technical knowledge. This position requires working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule service appointments in person or by phone, ensuring accurate diagnosis and timely service.
  • Provide customers with updates on repair status and communicate any changes in timelines or costs effectively.
  • Recommend necessary repairs and manage customer expectations clearly and professionally.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed with quality control and road testing.
  • Maintain current knowledge of vehicle operation, manufacturer warranties, campaigns, state lemon laws, and technical bulletins.
  • Meet or exceed service level targets consistently.
  • Complete all required documentation following industry standards and regulations.
  • Follow safety policies and promote a safe working environment.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience in a dealership or large automotive facility preferred.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and understand service information.
  • Physically capable of bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and lifting as needed.
  • Safety-conscious and reliable.
