Position Summary

The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary communication link between customers and service technicians. You will be responsible for understanding customer concerns, coordinating service and repairs, and managing expectations to ensure a smooth and professional experience.

Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and a customer-focused attitude. You will work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team committed to delivering world-class service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule vehicle service appointments and accurately diagnose customer concerns
  • Provide timely updates on repair status and notify customers if delays occur
  • Recommend necessary repairs and maintenance to customers while managing their expectations
  • Verify completed repairs meet quality standards and conduct road tests as needed
  • Stay informed on vehicle operations, warranties, technical service bulletins, and relevant laws
  • Ensure all service documentation is accurate and complies with company policies and regulations
  • Adhere to safety policies and promote a safe working environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and educational programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations

Work Environment

This is a professional, non-smoking, and drug-free workplace. The role requires physical activity such as bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and lifting heavy objects when necessary.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience at a dealership or large automotive facility preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong customer service orientation with professionalism and dependability
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency
  • Ability to read and understand instructions accurately
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and lifting heavy objects
