Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Advisor to serve as the primary liaison between customers and our service technicians. In this role, you will coordinate service and repair activities, provide clear communication about vehicle maintenance, and ensure superior customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule customer service appointments in person or by phone, ensuring prompt and accurate diagnosis of issues
  • Communicate repair progress and timelines, notifying customers of any delays or changes
  • Obtain customer authorization for repair estimates and manage expectations effectively
  • Recommend necessary repairs and maintenance based on vehicle inspection and manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensure all repairs meet quality standards through proper inspections and road tests
  • Stay current with vehicle operations, warranty policies, technical service bulletins, and state regulations
  • Maintain complete and compliant service documentation
  • Follow all safety policies and participate in training and staff meetings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of experience at a dealership or large service facility preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service
  • Basic computer proficiency and internet skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and reliable work ethic
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as required
