Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. If you have a passion for sales and enjoy working directly with customers, this position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in the automotive industry.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about our vehicles and services or willing to learn quickly. This includes understanding vehicle features, performance, financing options, and the local market. You will present new and pre-owned vehicles in an attractive and informative manner to promote sales and build lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting vehicles based on their needs and promote various model options, features, and financing alternatives following dealership policies.
  • Conduct vehicle test drives while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety standards.
  • Explain vehicle operation, warranties, and maintenance requirements clearly during delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales documentation and records.
  • Negotiate sales agreements ethically and clearly to close deals promptly.
  • Stay informed about all current vehicle models, accessories, promotions, and financing offers.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous sales experience is a plus, although not required.
  • Strong professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales goals.
  • Focus on safety and excellent customer service.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.
