Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring timely processing of accounting transactions. The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and basic knowledge of accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized accounting system to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Ensure all accounting transactions comply with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including typing, filing, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Reconcile statements and verify payment schedules.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting department.

Work Hours

This is a full-time position with standard business hours.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy.
  • Experience with accounting software and business applications is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Good data entry and time management skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • One year of experience in a business office environment with general accounting responsibilities preferred.
  • College degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Experience working in a dealership environment and familiarity with Reynolds and Reynolds software are advantageous.
